We are InStereo
Matt Rushton – Lead Guitar, Vocals, Sequencing With over 15 years experience performing for large festivals and jamming at clubs all over Utah, Matt feels as comfortable at a gig as he does in church (maybe more…). Matt is an accomplished guitarist and classically trained pianist and has licks that rival Satriani or Santana…but his specialty is hard crunching head-banging. With seasoned vocal chords and a body the ladies love (Matt wrote that), he will leave the crowd thirsty for more.
Ted Townsend – Drums, Vocals, Hal Although not Pete Townshend’s cousin, he very well could be. Musical talent seems to spill out of him, with drumming influences like John Bonham, Neil Peart, Carter Beauford, and Steve Smith how couldn’t there be? Ted has been pounding the skins since he was five years old and has toured with bands through many states. He lays down a musical groove that pulls people out of their seats until the last note. Balancing out the group with his vocals, his heart pounding rhythms keeps the band driving forward.
Tom Nedreberg – Bass Guitar, Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Sound Master Definitely the tallest in the band (but not the best looking – Matt wrote that as well), Tom is literally the driving force behind the band. Over the 20 plus years he has been playing, several projects have benefited from his high-energy bass playing and commanding ballad-style vocals. One time he sang so powerful that one of the girls nearly fainted from excitement. Tall tales aside, Tom gets them going on the dance floor.
Kyle Johnson – Keyboards, Vocals, Guitar, Sequencing, DMX lighting Even if it’s for show, every band needs its punk, ska, and
big band influences...that’s where Kyle comes in. Rounding out the sounds of
InStereo with samples and symphonies, Kyle has provided the musical boost that
has left many asking, “How did they do that?” Having performed on stage for
over 15 years, Kyle’s high-energy antics are a perfect compliment to InStereo’s
image. Controlling the brilliant light show is his specialty, and if you are
lucky, he might pull out his trombone. |
